PECULIARITIES OF THE PHYTOCENOTIC STRUCTURE OF PARK EDGE COMMUNITIES IN LVIV REGION

Abstract

Iopulated areas is a highly relevant topic today.

The research was conducted in the park edge communities of Lviv Region. The phytocenotic structure of edges with different functional purposes was described and analyzed: external transit edges adjacent to transport flows; internal edges near water bodies and glades; internal edges opening towards palace and park complexes; external edges transitioning into agrocenoses, among others.

An inventory of tree species was carried out for the studied objects. Based on the analysis of the collected data, the species structure of plantations within the ecotone zone was determined. The relationships among species were identified. The Whittaker and Shannon diversity indices were calculated. To assess species similarity between the studied objects, Sørensen-Czekanowski similarity indices were established.n an urbanized environment, park edge communities, as ecotonal formations, perform important phytomeliorative funcopulated areas is a highly relevant topic today.
